A LITTLE ABOUT JOHN:
I am a father of four children, and a grandfather of seven (well, the last time I checked but that number keeps growing).
I have had an interest in art for a long time but struggled to even draw a basket of fruit. I then took a course in photography and found my art form. It wasn’t until several years later in life that I fell in love with it all over again by doing nature photography, followed by event photography shooting as the designated photographer for two Ottawa churches. Then in 2016, I discovered the specialty of wedding photography and spent some time shadowing Jessica Thomas (a highly acclaimed Ottawa wedding photographer). In 2019, I decided to branch out into portrait photography and here we are!
I believe that hiring a photographer should involve more than receiving images that you are thrilled with. It should be an experience that makes you feel comfortable, cared for and excited about the memories you made.

A LITTLE ABOUT MARG:
Meet the wonderful Margaret (or you can call her Marg), John’s partner in life and partner at John Wesson Photography. Marg worked as a physiotherapist for forty years connecting with children and parents. Through her career, she acquired amazing problem solving and people skills, as well as developed her incredible attention to detail. John may be the one with the camera but Marg is the one who makes sure not one hair or clothing item is out of place. She will make sure you look your best and feel your best too!
Marg is a crucial piece to the team and we know you will love her just as much as we do!
